ब्लागिंग और सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट्स ने हिंदी को खूब बढ़ावा दिया है। यद्यपि इसे कई बार देवनागरी लिपि की बजाय रोमन लिपि में लिखने और भाषा की अशुद्धता को लेकर लम्बी बहसें भी हुई हैं, पर यह तो मानना ही पड़ेगा की इसके बहाने हिंदी का प्रयोग बढ़ा है। यही कारण है कि अब हिंदी को अंग्रेजी मीडिया भी इग्नोर नहीं कर पाता।अंग्रेजी अख़बारों में हिंदी के विज्ञापन धड़ल्ले से दिखने लगे हैं और कई बार हिंदी की बातें भी। हिंदी ब्लागिंग भी इससे अछूती नहीं है। अंग्रेजी अख़बार हिंदी ब्लागिंग से जुडी ख़बरों/रिपोर्ताज को भरपूर स्थान दे रहे हैं, आप भी देखिये-पढ़िए :
ALLAHABAD: Krishna Kumar Yadav and Akanksha Yadav, the blogger couple from city known for popularising the national language Hindi through New Media, were honoured at the International Bloggers Conference held in Kathmandu, Nepal.
While Krishna Kumar was awarded with Parikalpana Sahitya Samman, his wife Akanksha was felicitated with Parikalpana Blog Vibhushan. The awards were conferred upon the couple by former education and health minister of Nepal government and president of constituent assembly Arjun Narsingh Kesi. Akshitaa, a student of class 1 at Girls High School, Allahabad, also participated in this programme as the only young blogger.
Besides the Yadav couple, a number of bloggers in other languages like Nepali, Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Chattisgarhi, and Maithili from across the world were felicitated on the occasion. The programme was organized by Parikalpana Group at Sorahkhute Auditorium of Lekhnath Sahitya Sadan in Central Kathmandu from September 13-15.
During the session on New Media and its social concerns, Krishna Kumar Yadav elaborated on the role of New Media and its role in changing times, whereas Akanksha Yadav discussed the role of blogging in literature.
